Events - Workshops - Trainings

Co-creation and facilitation of academic events, professional development workshops and international training formats. Whether working with pre- and in-service teachers, teacher educators, education policymakers, or interdisciplinary research communities, I approach each initiative with a commitment to collaboration, critical reflection, and inclusive learning design.

From social hackathons and summer schools and participatory lab formats, the events I contribute to aim to bridge theory and practice — empowering educators, students, and institutional actors to navigate transformation in meaningful, context-sensitive ways.

Sustainable Game Day
University of Graz, Austria

13.5.2025 & 13.6.2025

Developing a comprehensive game-based teaching package for sustainability education by pre-service teachers owth the focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, as well as Collaborations for Partnerships.

A central part of the project is the Sustainable Game Day — an open, inclusive event where students and educators from across disciplines come together to explore sustainability topics through interactive games. These game sessions not only build ESD competencies but also strengthen social learning and interdisciplinary dialogue.

By integrating gamification strategies, conducting pilot workshops, and involving students in design and facilitation, SUS-Games contributes to long-term curriculum innovation and supports.

"Participatory Action Research"      Workshop Series

Permanent Session Academy (since 2021)
Teach for All/Teach for Armenia

Working with teachers — especially those in borderline schools — is a central focus of my professional journey. As part of the Teacher Leadership Program (Teach For Armenia & YSU), we co-designed and implemented Participatory Action Research (PAR) projects that enable teachers to become researchers in their own classrooms.

Together, we explored:

  • How to integrate research into everyday teaching

  • How classroom challenges can drive meaningful transformation

  • Which tools and methods support sustainable, reflective practice

Social-Hackathons:

Austrian National Eco-Digithon

July 2024 - July 2025

As part of the Erasmus+ ENNEPlus project, I lead the development and implementation of Social Hackathonsparticipatory learning formats at the intersection of education, digital transformation, and sustainability.

To support this work, I led the design of #10 Challenge-Based Learning Scenarios, which serve as the foundation for the Eco-Digithon process. These scenarios guide the project-based work and foster the creation of Communities of Practice, ensuring long-term learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing with the communities who are real challenge or case providers.

Within this format, students and teachers from vocational schools (VET) work in interdisciplinary teams to co-create digital solutions for ecological and societal challenges, collaborating with case providers from communities.

A flagship initiative is the Austrian National Eco-Digithon, which I organize in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry of Education and the Styrian Chamber of Commerce WKO STMK.

Needs Assessment and Collective Interests for Trainng Planning at HEIs

GreenWB Capacity-Building Workshop | University of Skopje, North Macedonia,
May 14-16, 2024

As part of the GreenWB project, I facilitated a Needs Assessment and Capacity-Building Workshop at the University of Skopje in May 2024. The aim was to identify shared priorities and training needs among teacher educators working in Sustainable Living Labs (SLLs)

Using a combination of interactive polling, minds maping, skills gap analysis, and group-based reflection, participants co-constructed a set of core training topics and materials.

Peace Education & Youth Dialogue at EYFON

Training Series: War and Adolescents

June, 2023

It was a powerful experience to engage with young participants from #8 countries during my training sessions on “War and Adolescents” and “Peace Education” at the European Youth Forum Neumarkt (EYFON).

Through creative and reflective methods, we:

  • Visualized the diverse and emotional images of #war experienced and perceived by youth

  • Co-created a collective “Peace Puzzle of the World”, symbolizing hope, solidarity, and intercultural understanding

The sessions fostered open dialogue, empathy-building, and a shared commitment to peace in a time where such conversations are more urgent than ever.

Special thanks to the EYFON team for organizing and supporting this important initiative!

CPD Framework and Teacher Training Accountability
